Astrophysical Synthesis & Habitability Characterization

TOI-4307 b is a confirmed super-earth exoplanet orbiting the star TOI-4307, located approximately 117.6 light-years (36.05 parsecs) from the Solar System. First announced in 2026 by Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) using the Transit detection technique (producing an estimated primary transit depth of 0.0135% across the stellar disk), this world measures 1.39 Earth radii and has a measured mass of 2.51 Earth masses. Combining its mass and radius yields a mean bulk density of 5.15 g/cm³ (a terrestrial silicate-iron composition comparable to Earth (5.51 g/cm³)), a surface gravity of 1.3 g⊕ (12.75 m/s²), and an escape velocity of 15 km/s.

In its orbital architecture around TOI-4307, TOI-4307 b completes one full revolution every 32.697 Earth days. The orbit is modeled as circular (e = 0.00), maintaining a constant stellar distance throughout its year.

⚠️ Thermal Regime (Irradiated / Hot Zone): At an equilibrium temperature of 615 K (+342°C / +648°F) and receiving 33.75 S⊕ (~45,930 W/m²), TOI-4307 b orbits interior to the runaway greenhouse boundary where surface liquid water cannot persist.

The host star TOI-4307 is classified as a stellar host with an effective photospheric temperature of 6,079 K, a radius of 1.0984 R☉, a mass of 1.14 M☉, an estimated bolometric luminosity of 1.478 L☉. From Earth, TOI-4307 shines at apparent V-band magnitude 7.17 (accessible to binoculars and small amateur telescopes) in the Southern celestial hemisphere.

Earth Similarity Index (ESI): 0.50 Earth Baseline = 1.00

Methodology: Computed using the Schulze-Makuch et al. (2011) weighted metric comparing physical interior (radius, estimated density) and surface thermal regime (escape velocity, equilibrium temperature).
