Astrophysical Synthesis & Habitability Characterization

OGLE-2019-BLG-0954L b is a confirmed gas giant exoplanet orbiting the star OGLE-2019-BLG-0954L, located approximately 11839.5 light-years (3630 parsecs) from the Solar System. First announced in 2021 by OGLE using the Microlensing detection technique (detected via relativistic gravitational lensing of a background source star), this world measures 12.3 Earth radii (1.1 Jupiter radii) and has a measured mass of 4513.163 Earth masses (14.2 Jupiter masses). Combining its mass and radius yields a mean bulk density of 13.37 g/cm³ (an iron-enriched, high-compression rocky core), a surface gravity of 29.83 g⊕ (292.53 m/s²), and an escape velocity of 214.3 km/s.

☁️ Atmospheric Regime (Volatile / Gas Envelope): With a radius of 12.300 R⊕, OGLE-2019-BLG-0954L b exceeds the empirical ~1.8–2.2 R⊕ Fulton radius valley threshold, indicating a substantial hydrogen-helium or supercritical volatile envelope without a conventional solid terrestrial surface.

The host star OGLE-2019-BLG-0954L is classified as a stellar host with a mass of 0.8 M☉.

Earth Similarity Index (ESI): 0.34 Earth Baseline = 1.00
0.00 Dissimilar 0.50 Mars Scale 0.70 Analog Regime 1.00 Earth

Methodology: Computed using the Schulze-Makuch et al. (2011) weighted metric comparing physical interior (radius, estimated density) and surface thermal regime (escape velocity, equilibrium temperature).
